Rollerama vs Rollarama

You say Rollerama, we say Rollarama.

What’s in a name? Apparently plenty when you do a website and social media for your business and you notice that there’s lots of searches for your roller rink and they are spelled differently than your name!

Enter ROLLERama. Roller skates, we get it. Yup, that’s what we are talking about. the majority of people search on Rollerama, not RollArama.

So, why is Rollarama Skating Center spelled the way it is? Well, back in the days (you know when we used to walk a mile and a half to school, in the snow…uphill…) of 1957 there were lots of “arama’s” around this area like Shoparama Plaza, Shoparama Pizza, and a laundromat called Washarama. Those places are gone but Rollarama is where the old Shoparama Plaza was so our family thought it was a great name paying tribute to our community.

Just thought you’d like to know about our name and where it came from!

No matter what you call us, just keep roller skating and keep Rollarama Skating Center around for generations to come.
